Ben and I are pretty structured people, so as soon as Brave and True were sleeping through the night, they were moved out of our room into their own crib, in their own room. For True this happened at 2 months, for Brave 5 months, so we know Soulie's time is coming soon. I don't think I will be ready. We aren't sure if we are gonna go for the fourth, right now it looks unlikely, but only God knows right? So with Soulie growing so fast, I don't think I am ready for her to not be a baby.
A few weekends ago, we finally fixed up Brave's vintage bed that we had sitting outside forever. Ben scraped and sealed it, then we took it up to True's room to get ready for Brave to move in with True. They were both so excited. I was too, but then when it came time to put them to bed together at night, I realized I wasn't ready. I was dreading this next step. The girls were happy and had cute conversations as they both laid down in each of their own beds. Their conversation went like this:
True: Brave, I have a picture of my mommy and papi.
Brave: I have a picture of Bravey.
True: Goodnight Brave.
Brave: Goodnight True.
True: I have my own bed over here.
Brave: Now, I have my own bed too.
True: Goodnight.
Brave: Goodnight.
They both did well that night, though True did cry for a bit, but Brave fell right asleep in her own little big girl bed. The next morning we heard them wake up and immediately start playing together. Ben and I were both so proud.
That evening when it came time to put them to bed again, well, we put Brave back in the crib in her own room. Ben and I were not ready for them to share just yet. It felt like they were such big girls and we weren't ready for that. I particularly wasn't ready. Brave wasn't happy with the decision to go back in the crib, but we told her, "If you want to sleep in your big bed and share a room with True, you have to go poo poo and pee pee in the potty all the time. Okay?" So that's the deal. Once she gets this whole potty thing down, it will be off to the shared room she goes. I am kinda nervous. She has gone #1 & #2 in the potty for two days... I guess she is highly motivated.
Though until she has got the potty thing down, this side of the room will be patiently waiting for her...

they NEVER tell you about how much it hurts to love your children as much as we do.
